What is EnFact Fraud Detection?
EnFact Fraud Detection is a service which monitors debit card transactions, looking for potentially fraudulent activity. This may include a sudden change in location (when a U.S. issued card is used unexpectedly outside of the U.S.), a sudden string of higher dollar purchases, or any pattern associated with fraud trends around the world. If we suspect fraudulent debit card use, our monitoring agency will either send you a text or call you to validate the legitimacy of your actual or suspect transactions.
What If Suspicious Activity is Detected?
When we detect suspicious activity on your card, we will send you a text message with details about the suspected transaction. You can text to let us know whether the transaction is legitimate or fraudulent. If you tell us it is a fraudulent charge, you’ll receive another message with a number you can call for follow-up action. If you tell us that you have made the transaction, we will note that the transaction is legitimate. You don’t need to do anything else or give it another thought. If we don’t get a response from our text message, we will call you to find out whether the suspect transactions are legitimate or not. It is critical that you respond to our call to prevent potential risk and avoid restrictions on the use of your debit card.
